Surprise! Shelter Lounge in Ballard is Dog-Friendly

Surprise! Shelter Lounge in Ballard is Dog-Friendly

On a sunny Sunday, some of my softball teammates and I headed to the shelter lounge in Ballard after our game. Of course, I had Mister Bondi and Homie in tow. I didn't want to tie the dogs up outside and, of course, leaving them in the car wasn't an option, so I inquired with the hostess about bringing the dogs on the patio. To my surprise, the hostess said that I was welcome to bring the dogs inside. Awesome!!! 1187read more >

Streamline Tavern in Queen Anne is Dog-Friendly

Many thanks to Jodi, for this tip: Streamline Tavern in Queen Anne (near Ozzie's) is super dog friendly. They have a ton of Pupperoni bags at the bar. They don't serve food, but you can bring in food, they have a bucket of peanuts and a microwave. Classic! Pupperoni at the bar? That sounds like Dog Gone Heaven! The pups and I have never been, but from what I read on Yelp, here are a few important notes: Classic dive bar $7 pitchers Cash only BYOF (outside food welcome) Free peanuts Now that I think about it, sounds a little…read more >
Awesome Dog-Friendly Establishments on Capitol Hill

Awesome Dog-Friendly Establishments on Capitol Hill

~~~ FEB 2014: UPDATED TO ADD Bill's Off Broadway will be closed for renovations until Fall 2015.~~~ I don't spend a lot of time on Capitol Hill, so I'm not super familiar with the dog-friendly spots in the neighborhood. I know the Summit Public House allows dogs, as I was there with Bondi way back in January 2010! It was one of my first experiences bringing Bondi to a dog-friendly establishment, and I really enjoyed it, but I don't believe I've been back since. Too busy exploring other places, I suppose... 844read more >
Pint-Sized Corgi Enjoys Dog-Friendly University Village
Thanks to Kim for sharing this adorable photo of her pint-sized Corgi, Gwendolyn. To follow the adventures of Gwen the Corgi in Seattle, check out here Tumblr here. U Village is a favorite of dog-lovers, since the outdoor setting makes for a relaxing shopping experience with your pooch. Most of the retail shops are dog-friendly, and many restaurants have dog-friendly patios. My guess is Starbucks still won't let you bring your pup inside though... Have a photo of your dog out and about in Seattle that you would like to see on the site? Just share it!read more >
MacCallan the Bulldog at Romio’s Pizza & Pasta in Belltown
Dogs of Seattle: MacCallan Look who I spotted at Romio's Pizza & Pasta in Belltown... It's MacCallan! I was just enjoying a glass of wine with my friend, and who walked in? This handsome boy and his person. Apparently MacCallan is a regular at Romio's. He's a big fan of their pepperoni, which the owner doles out generously. I tried to get a good picture of MacCallan, but he was so fixated on potential pepperonis, it just wasn't happening. Anyway, turns out the folks at Romio's are pretty cool about allowing well behaved dogs into the lounge area. I will…read more >
Spotted in Seattle: Dogs in Linda’s Tavern on Capitol Hill
Last night I was enjoying a Milk Nitro Stout (my new favorite beer) at Linda's Tavern, a choice watering hole for Capitol Hill residents. Joe and I were "warming up" for our softball game a few blocks away. We always bring Bondi and Homie to our games, but we left them in the car for pre-game beer since I have never seen dogs at Linda's before... not even on their expansive patio. 826read more >
